Proverbs 3:27-28 New International Version (NIV)
27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to act.
28 Do not say to your neighbor,
“Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”—
when you already have it with you.
Withholding good is unfair and shows not consideration. Repay a loan on time. Return something you borrowed on time. Fulfill a promise that you have made. Do not destroy trust. Do not create an inconvenience for another person. Be eager to do good.
