14 “Take the blasphemer outside the camp. All those who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the entire assembly is to stone him.
This punishment for cursing God seems extreme, but it shows how seriously God expects us to take our relationship with him. Do you use his name in swearing? Do you act as though God does not exist? Be careful how you speak and act. Treat God with reverence. If you mess up, ask for forgiveness and change your behavior and choices to honor God.
