Numbers 33:50-53 New International Version (NIV)
50 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho the Lord said to Moses, 51 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan, 52 drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places. 53 Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
God told Moses that before they settled in the Promised Land, they should drive out with wicked inhabitants and destroy the idols. Do you have old ways that are getting in your way with your growth? Get rid of the old ways of living and move ahead into your new life of obedience to God and faith in Jesus. You can destroy the wickedness in your life or settle down and live with it. Move in and possess your new life. Practice of the right choices makes room for the new.
