8 God chose new leaders
when war came to the city gates,
but not a shield or spear was seen
among forty thousand in Israel.
When Israel chose to follow false gods and chose not to put God’s commands into practice, war was inevitable. Israel did not keep God at the center of life. Are you letting a desire for recognition get in the way of putting God first? Are you craving power or allowing the love of money rule your life? Maybe stress, illness, or fatigue are plaguing you. Slow down, take time, and keep God at the center of your life. With God, you will have the power to battle these destroyers of life and joy.
