Ruth 2:7
New International Version
7 She said, ‘Please let me glean and gather among the sheaves behind the harvesters.’ She came into the field and has remained here from morning till now, except for a short rest in the shelter.”
Ruth had the menial, tiring, and degrading task of working behind the harvesters. She was faithful to do her work. What is your attitude regarding your work? Have you been given a task that you feel is beneath you? Look at the task with humble eyes. It may be the work that is at hand, or it may be the work God wants you to do. Either way, it may be a test of your character which may open new doors of opportunity.
