3 Though you probe my heart,
though you examine me at night and test me,
you will find that I have planned no evil;
my mouth has not transgressed.
David was not saying he was sinless. David knew his relationship with God. David knew he sinned, nevertheless, he knew he had a close relationship with God. He remained within a consistent repentance and forgiveness interconnection with God. His goodness was based on his continual pursuit and seeking after God. Do you feel like you are a bad person? Do you think you are worthless? You are not. When you continually seek God and have an interconnection with him, you will repent when you make a mistake. God forgives you. You are in right relationship with God through your bond with him. Be thankful that you feel a tugging inside when you sin. When you strive to do what is right in God’s eyes, you are becoming more and more at peace with who you are in God’s family. You have worth, and you are loved.
