11 Teach me your way, Lord;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
spouting malicious accusations.
13 I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
David was going through a trial, but he was confident that God would see him through it. David knew what it meant to wait on God. He had been anointed king at age 16, but he waited for this promise to come about until he reached the age of 30. David had to wait on God to fulfill his promise. Waiting on God is not easy. It often seems that he is not answering prayer. You must know that God is in control, and he is fair. There is hope in waiting on God. As you wait, use this time to get refreshed, renewed, and to learn about yourself. Make good use of your waiting time and discover what God may be trying to teach you.
