James 4:13-14 “…Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a city and spend a year there and carry on our business and make money. Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen tomorrow. What is the nature of your life?…”
We have all been in the situation of making plans or thinking that something will happen in a certain way, and then it all changes. It brings such disappointment and takes a lot of adjustment even causing us to question whether we have heard from God or not.
Things don’t always happen in the way that we hoped it would. God allows it to happen differently for a reason. We may never know why this side of Heaven—but no experience is ever wasted. I guess we can only trust that God knows what’s best for us. I don’t think making plans as such is wrong, but I guess maybe we need to be more adaptable, prepared for a re-direction if God has other plans for us.
What we’ve planned may not go our way. God has a better plan that He’s made.
