Psalm 92:14-15 “…[Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment]. [They are living memorials] to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him…”
There is no age limit in the kingdom of God. Whether young in years or older in years, we all have something to offer.
This is a beautiful description of growing old. Growing in grace, full of sap (spiritual vitality), rich in trust, love and contentment, living memorials of God’s faithfulness. We can still bring forth fruit in our old age. There is no such thing as retirement in the kingdom of God. We can never retire from being a Christian. Even though we may not be able to do some things we did when we were younger, we can still have a vital role in church life and bear much fruit. In this way, we are living memorials. What an awesome label that is to wear – a living memorial.
We’re living memorials in our old age. We still bear fruit, though hair may be grey.
