Scripture:
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
Lesson:
The last couple of weeks, we admitted we were powerless. Today, we are going to talk about how to find HOPE.
H: Higher Power
Jesus Christ is our Higher Power! He desires a relationship with us.
O: Openness To Change
Throughout our lives, we will continue to encounter hurts and trials that we are powerless to change. With God’s help, we need to be open to allow those trials to make us better, not bitter.
P: Power To Change
God’s power can change us and our situation.
E: Expect To Change
Don’t quit before the miracle happens! With God’s help, the changes that you have longed for are just steps away.
Life Application:
Hope begins when we believe that God is bigger than our past. Pain may have written part of our story, but God holds the pen now. This week, choose hope by speaking one truth over yourself: God is healing me, even when I can’t see it yet! Release yesterday to Jesus, lean into His promises, and do one brave thing you’ve been putting off. Hope grows where faith is practiced.
