The Foundation: God is Love
“Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” — 1 John 4:8 (ESV)
Love is not merely an action God performs; it is His essence. Before we do anything for Him, we are invited simply to be loved by Him. When you feel insecure or unlovable, remind yourself that God’s love is not based on your performance, but on His unchanging character.
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your love is my foundation. When I doubt my worth, remind me that You are love, and I am Yours. Help me to abide in that love today. Amen.
