Jesus speaks about the fact that we cannot serve two masters. “Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other” (Matthew 6:24, Luke 6:13). In Romans 12:10 the apostle Paul advises us to “Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves”.
Isaiah 55 urges people to stop chasing empty pursuits and instead seek God, whose thoughts and ways are vastly higher than human ways, promising that His Word will always accomplish its purpose.
