“Choose for yourselves today whom you will serve … as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”—Joshua 24:15 NASB
Being a kind and faithful, as well as, just and honorable are good qualities. That is not enough. Good deeds are not evidence that you are serving the Lord.
The service of God is exclusive. There can be no interference, competition, or divided attention. It must have the whole person. You cannot commit some parts of yourself. God must be Lord over all and requires your whole heart.
You need to decide today. Delaying a decision will be the means of rendering it more difficult in the end. Bad habits may become more ingrained. It is harder to change.
How are you responding? Is Jesus your Lord and Master? Decide today to submit your life to Him without conditions.
Reflection Question: How are you serving the Lord today?
