Exodus 14:13-14 New International Version (NIV)
13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
After the Israelites had become hostile and despairing, Moses encouraged them to watch how God would rescue them. God was not going to bring them this far and let them be killed. Moses had a positive attitude, and he called upon God to intervene in this tense situation. Have you had a negative attitude about a problem in your life? Have you asked God for help? You may not be being chased by an army of hostiles, but you may still feel trapped. Do not give into despair. Have the same attitude that Moses had. Be positive and call upon God. Then stand still and watch the Lord work.
