Courage When Afraid
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” — Psalm 56:3-4 (NIV)
Reflection: Fear is a natural emotion, but it doesn’t have to define your actions. David learned to handle fear by immediately transferring his trust to God’s faithfulness. Courage is trusting in God’s protective power more than your fears.
Prayer: Father, I confess I am afraid. I choose to trust You. Help me focus on Your strength, not my limitations.
