Idol Feasts and the Lord’s Supper

¹⁴ Therefore, my dear friends, flee from idolatry. ¹⁵ I speak to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say. ¹⁶ Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? ¹⁷ Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.

Dear Lord, I am to keep all idolatry from me. I am to mind how I act and my actions. I am part of the Body of Christ. Christ is the Head of the Church and Head of the body of believers who are part of his Church. I will be on my guard to work to make all that I do and say be said and done in love for the well being of others. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
