Do Not Love This World

¹⁵ Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. ¹⁶ For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. ¹⁷ And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Dear Father, I will not love this world. I will not love the things this world has to offer. I want to love of my Father in me. The world has only craving for things, achievements, and possessions. May I crave my relationship with God. May I crave building up my treasure in Heaven where it will never be destroyed. This world is fading. It is like a vapor in the wind. May I strive to do what is pleasing to God, for I know when I do, I will live with God forever. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
