2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleasesGod our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
The first thing we must do as God’s people is ask for things in humility and earnestly. We must pray continually through the Holy Spirit. We must intercede for others. And we must give thanks always.
Dear Father, May I humble myself always. You raise me up when I am humble. May I always pray earnestly and continually through the Holy Spirit who is my helper. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
