God’s Guidance

²     He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
³     he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.

When you follow God, your shepherd guides you. You can have contentment. God knows the green meadows or the peaceful streams that will restore you. He will guide you to those places when you follow him obediently. When you rebel, you are actually going against your own best interests. Remember that when you follow God obediently and refrain from going your own way, you are doing what is best for you under God’s care and guidance.
