God’s Presence

⁴ Blessed are those you choose
    and bring near to live in your courts!
We are filled with the good things of your house,
    of your holy temple.

God had chosen a special group of Israelites from the tribe of Levi to serve as priests in the Tabernacle. They had the joy of living in the Temple courts. They were the only ones who could enter the sacred rooms where God’s presence resided. Today, because of Jesus’ death on the cross, believers have access to God’s presence in every place and at any time.
