3 “Do not keep talking so proudly
or let your mouth speak such arrogance,
for the Lord is a God who knows,
and by him deeds are weighed.
Are there people around you who have wronged you? When Hannah was singing her song of praise, she was venting to God about those who had wronged her and those who had treated her so terribly. She was probably thinking of Peninnah. This woman had mocked her and tormented her. Hannah knew God is all-knowing. God will judge all sin. Hannah was wisely leaving judgement up to God. Do not take justice into your own hands. God will weigh out all deeds and judge wisely.
