48 These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, according to its clans.
The tribe of Dan found that some of their land was too difficult to conquer. They chose to avoid this and migrate to a different area where they knew victory would be easy. Do you avoid difficult jobs or situations and do what is easy? Anyone can so called trust God when things are easy. But, can you trust God when things are difficult? If your faith and trust and courage are put to the test, and you are tempted to go the easy route, take time to look to God for your strength and courage. Have faith that God is great enough to help you with your most difficult situations.
