6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Dear Lord, Children are to obey their parents, for that is right. I am to teach my children honor and respect. I am to instruct my children. As I get older and as my parents get older, I am to honor my mother and father. May I always treat my parents with honor and respect, for they are a gift from you, Lord. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
