7 Then his sister asked Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and get one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you?”
8 “Yes, go,” she answered. So the girl went and got the baby’s mother.
Miriam, the baby’s sister, saw that Pharaoh’s daughter had discovered Moses. She quickly took initiative. She approached the Egyptian princess with courage and suggested the services of her mother. Pharaoh’s daughter took her up on this offer to nurse and care for the baby she had found. Moses would live, and better still, he would be able to live with his own family. Remember, do not be afraid of what might happen to cause you to miss out on an opportunity. Special opportunities may come your way. Be alert for them. Take full advantage of them. Take initiative. They are a gift from God.
