1 Samuel 10:19
New International Version
19 But you have now rejected your God, who saves you out of all your disasters and calamities. And you have said, ‘No, appoint a king over us.’ So now present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes and clans.”
Israel’s true King was God, but they demanded a person to be king instead of God. They wanted a person to guide and lead them. People have continually throughout history rejected God, and it still happens today. Are you rejecting God by pushing him aside and making something or someone your ‘king’? Are you making things or people top priority? Learn from the stories in the Bible and keep God first in your life.
