Numbers 30:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
Vows
30 Moses said to the heads of the tribes of Israel: “This is what the Lord commands: 2 When a man makes a vow to the Lord or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.
Promises to God and others must be kept. In ancient times, they did not use contracts. A person’s word was a binding. No one was forced to make a promise. If a promise was broken, trust was broken. Do you have a lack of trust in others? Have you been in situations where your trust has been compromised or have you broken a trust? Trust is the basis of our relationships with God and others. Work to mend broken promises. Lead a life a keeping promises.
