Letting Go of Control

“LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.” — Isaiah 26:12

We often create our own lack of peace by carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders. The truth is, we are not designed to carry that burden. When we surrender our need to control the future and trust God as our Shepherd, we find restful green meadows for our souls. Peace begins when we let God lead.

Heavenly Father, I confess that I have let anxiety control my mood and actions by trying to control my life. I hand my worries over to You. Help me to stop trying to do Your job. I want my security to be found in You alone. Thank You for Your peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
