Genesis 37:26-27 New International Version (NIV)
26 Judah said to his brothers, “What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood? 27 Come, let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay our hands on him; after all, he is our brother, our own flesh and blood.” His brothers agreed.
The brothers were worried about bearing the guilt of Joseph’s death. Then, Judah had an idea. This idea would keep them innocent of murder. What he did was jump to a solution that was the lesser of two evils. The problem was that either choice was the wrong choice. Have you ever chose the lesser of a wrong decision? If that should come about again, and you have a decision to make, ask yourself if your decision is right. If it is not right, do not do it.
