23 “‘The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you reside in my land as foreigners and strangers.
The Israelites would one day possess the land in Canaan. In God’s plan, God’s ownership was absolute. He wanted his people to avoid greed and materialism. If you look at what you have as God’s property, you will make what you have more available to others. Think of yourself as a manager of all that is under your care.
