17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes.
Moses was distinguishing God from local gods by saying that the Lord is God of gods and Lord of lords. Moses also stated that God was mighty and awesome. God has such awesome power and justice that we could not stand before him without mercy. Thank goodness God’s mercy is unlimited for us. God’s true love is deep for us. God has chosen to show love and mercy to all who seek him. Are you struggling with knowing you are deeply loved? Do you wonder if God has mercy for you? The answer is you are deeply loved and God’s mercy is there for you. Just go to God in prayer and humility. God’s mercy and love abound for you.
