34 Then Jacob tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and mourned for his son many days.
Tearing clothes and wearing burlap or sackcloth were signs of mourning. This is like wearing black like we do today. When there is a time of mourning, take time to mourn your loss. When you take the time to mourn a loss, you will find the road to healing more easily.
