James 2:1-2New International Version (NIV)
Favoritism Forbidden
2 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. 2 Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in.
Dear Father, I believe in you. Jesus, you are my glorious Lord. When I am with others, I am not to show favoritism. I am to treat others as you would want me to treat them. No matter what others have or do not have, it does not matter. All that matters is that I love you, Lord, first and best with all my heart and all my soul, and all my mind. And I love others as myself for this pleases you, Lord. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
