Jacob Takes Esau’s Blessing
34 When Esau was forty years old, he married Judith daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and also Basemath daughter of Elon the Hittite. 35 They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebekah.
Esau married pagan women. This was upsetting to his parents. Parents can be a great source of good advice because they have life experiences and insight into their children’s lives. You may not agree with everything your parents may advise, but at least talking with them and listening carefully could help you with life decisions.
