John 5:19-20 New International Version (NIV)
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.
When we ask for things, we petition. When we ask according to God’s will, then he hears us. If we know that he does hear us, then we will have what we ask for. We can walk away knowing that we will receive what we ask for. Pray believing.
Dear Father, I pray believing. I ask you and you hear. Whatever I ask for in prayer, I believe that I have received it, and it is mine. I know that receiving is settling in to knowing that it will be done. Having is what follows, and I may have to wait. But I know by faith that I receive what I pray for. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
