Psalm 9:1-3
New International Version
1 I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in you;
I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.
3 My enemies turn back;
they stumble and perish before you.
When you praise God, you are expressing your appreciation of God’s worth. You are saying, “Thank you.” As you praise God, you will expand your awareness of who he is. Look for aspects of God’s character when you read the Psalms. You will get to know him better, and you will build your awareness of how worthy and loving and holy God is.
