23 For rebellion is like the sin of divination,
and arrogance like the evil of idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
he has rejected you as king.”
Rebellion and stubbornness are sins. Scripture equates these sins with witchcraft and idolatry, worthy of death. Saul became both as king. God finally rejected him and took away his kingdom. Rebellion against God is a serious sin. When you rebel against God, you are closing the door to forgiveness and restoration. If you have rebellion and stubbornness in your life, STOP. Get on your knees and humble yourself before the Lord. Ask for forgiveness, and begin the process of change. Walk with God and talk with God. He is there for you. He is for you.
