Ephesians 1:1-6 New International Version (NIV)
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To God’s holy people in Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
When we pray in the name of Jesus, we have a relationship with God through Jesus. When we pray in the name of Jesus, our relationship is recognized. God has an eternal plan. God knew us before we knew him. He knew he would adopt us into his family as his children. This was worked out in time and through Jesus who came and died on our behalf.
Dear Father, Thank you and praise be to you. You are holy, Lord. Thank you for your grace and peace. Thank you for all your blessings. Thank you for adopting me into your family because of your good pleasure and will. I praise your grace, Lord. Thank you for giving it freely through Jesus. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
