12 They also carried off Abram’s nephew Lot and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom.
Due to Lot’s greed and his desires for the best of everything, it cost him. It put him into sinful situations and surroundings. When we have a burning desire for possessions and success, it can cost you your freedom. Those desires can cost you your enjoyment. Have you been enticed into doing wrong things? Have you been going places you should not be going? Have you been focussing on possessions? Focusing on prosperity, self, and greed may create captivating circumstances in your life, but beware, it will enslave you and put you out of alignment with God.
