20 When Samuel had all Israel come forward by tribes, the tribe of Benjamin was taken by lot. 21 Then he brought forward the tribe of Benjamin, clan by clan, and Matri’s clan was taken. Finally Saul son of Kish was taken. But when they looked for him, he was not to be found. 22 So they inquired further of the Lord, “Has the man come here yet?”
And the Lord said, “Yes, he has hidden himself among the supplies.”
The Israelites assembled to choose their king. Saul knew he was chosen. Instead of coming forward, he hid. Have you ever been chosen to do something important? Have you hidden from responsibility? Are you more concerned with what others will think rather than pushing forward into what you are called to do? Make a change. Prepare now to step up to your future. Do not worry yourself with what others may think. What does it matter when you can count on God’s provision when you are within his will.
