¹¹ My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
    and do not resent his rebuke,
¹² because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
    as a father the son he delights in.

God is the source of all love. Discipline means to teach and to train. We have, as a society, gotten a negative thought process when it comes to discipline. It is not punishment. It is training and teaching. To become morally strong, we must learn the difference between right and wrong. God will teach and train us to do that. He is a loving Father.
