Isaiah 55:11 So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me void (useless, without result), without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.
The Word that goes forth from God’s mouth, can be manifested in different ways such as in His written Word (every single passage of scripture), the Word He speaks directly or indirectly in our thoughts, impressions, promptings or in dreams & visions etc…All of God’s Word that goes fourth from His mouth will not return to Him void—ineffectual, useless, empty or without making an impact, change or redirection, but it will accomplish what God pleases. His word will always accomplish what He has intended it to accomplish—it will have a great and powerful impact. It shall always prosper in the thing for which He sent it because it is His will for it to prosper and to be effectual in all matters which concern Him. It will set the course for change in our lives. It will break down barriers in our lives as we begin to change our mindsets, beliefs and desires by being renewed and transformed in our minds and hearts—our thinking reshaped, and our hearts remolded. As we align our hearts and minds to His word, we can’t help but change—and as we do, strongholds are demolished. It’s then that we walk in the freedom for which Christ purchased for us on the cross.
We must meditate on His Word for deeper clarification and illumination so that it will change us. We can’t expect to change by wilfull thinking or will power, we will fail every time. Only by meditating on God’s Word and applying His Word to our lives can bring about the change. So, when you sense God speak to you, heed it—let it transform you.
When God speaks it, He means it! He’s not toying with us. If He tells us: “I love you”, then He does! There are no ‘ifs’ or ‘buts’, only a full stop! The word God speaks, whether written, verbal, impressions, promptings or dreams & visions, is TRUTH! It will accomplish what pleases Him, but we still need to do our part: listening and applying it to our lives (obeying).
