Proverbs 16:9-13 New International Version (NIV)
9 In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps.
10 The lips of a king speak as an oracle,
and his mouth does not betray justice.
11 Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord;
all the weights in the bag are of his making.
12 Kings detest wrongdoing,
for a throne is established through righteousness.
13 Kings take pleasure in honest lips;
they value the one who speaks what is right.
Dear Lord, You establish my steps each and every day. Guide me in being just to others. Keep me in honesty and truthfulness. Work with me to walk the narrow path and do good. Help me to speak with edification and in a right manner that brings pleasure and glory to you, Lord. When I fail, keep me in humility so that I will immediately turn to you, Lord, and ask for forgiveness and continue walking with you as I change my old ways into new ways. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
