34 The sights you see will drive you mad.
One of the curses for those who reject God is that they will go mad from seeing all the tragedy that happens all around. Do you ever feel overwhelmed by all the terrible things happening in our world? Do you feel like you may go crazy if you hear about one more rape, murder, kidnapping, or war? Remember, most of the world’s evil is the failure of people to acknowledge and serve God. So, when you hear bad news, remember you belong to God. You are one of his children. You are covered by the blood of Jesus as a believer. The Holy Spirit lives in you and is your helper. You do not have to feel helpless in all this chaos and evil going on around the world. You have hope for the future. In spite of it all, God has ultimate control. He will come back one day and make everything right. In the meantime, honor and obey God the Father.
