23 And when the Lord sent you out from Kadesh Barnea, he said, “Go up and take possession of the land I have given you.” But you rebelled against the command of the Lord your God. You did not trust him or obey him.
Moses was reminding the people of the nation’s unbelief 40 years earlier. They had been afraid to enter Canaan. They had not believed God. In spite of all God had done for them, they did not believe he would be able to help them. The Israelites were looking to their own limited resources. They were not looking to God. Do you struggle with unbelief? Do you have problems you are dealing with right now that you have not entrusted to God? If you feel lost, it may be because you are looking everywhere except to God. Stop and reflect. Take time to spend time with God in prayer and friendship with him. Trust him and believe that he is there for you and will help you with your problems.
