18 Look on my affliction and my distress
and take away all my sins.
19 See how numerous are my enemies
and how fiercely they hate me!
20 Guard my life and rescue me;
do not let me be put to shame,
for I take refuge in you.
21 May integrity and uprightness protect me,
because my hope, Lord, is in you.
Integrity and honesty are very important in your life. With these two qualities, you will be preserved as you live your life. You can ask for protection as you go through life, and you can ask for these qualities to be honed in your character. When you are honest with yourself and God, and you walk with integrity putting into practice consistency; these qualities will give you hope. You know where your hope is, and it is in the Lord.
