We are all having an impact in the world. Impact is defined by the “action of one object coming forcibly into contact with another.” When I think about impact; I think about a plane. The force that happens when it hits the ground in a crash is powerful. When you come into contact with another person; is it positive, encouraging or kind of messy like a plane crash? What would others say?
Do you care about the impact you are having on others? Are you aware of it? Take a self-evaluation at the moment.
In Proverbs 18:21, the Bible teaches us that words have the immense power to bring life or death, heal or destroy. Our actions and words cannot be separate. They have to work together like a great partnership to impact people in the best way if we are to profess ourselves as Christians. Take inventory. Am I kind? Do I greet people with a smile, or do I pass them by and ignore them. Try to pay attention a little more today with what you say, how you say it, and the timing of when you say it. When we begin to understand our impact; we increase our positivity in the world and how we can become catalysts of change for others.
Impact. Decide every day to support and love those around you. Watch the positive impact unravel. It is not too late. When we begin to see these important aspects in life, we build a spiritual health which is strong and mature. Choose wisely my friends.
When we “know” better, we can “do” better.
Much love,
Emily
